AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Hardened Steel or Stainless Steel Construction
This special build gas assist injector is similar to the standard AP1 Series shown on our standard injectors page, but was designed with special threads to replace a much older style injector that did not have full flow capabilities. It was a "remove and replace" application that greatly improved the molders gas assist process, allowing precise pressure profiling.

AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Hardened Steel Construction
This special build gas assist injector is also similar to the standard AP1 Series shown on our standard injectors page, but was designed to provide two functions: The first was to deliver gas pressure preventing sink marks at the location of a large integral boss in the molded part, and, to also act as the core pin for the boss. Two functions in one!

AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Stainless Steel Construction
This special build gas assist injector (internally the same as the AP1 Series) was designed to accommodate the bore in the tool where there previously was a lesser efficient injector.  Another direct replacement that improved the molders gas assist molding efficiency.

AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Hardened Steel Construction
This special build gas assist injector, similar in most details to the APS1 Series injector, was designed for very high gas pressures in a very high viscosity, high temperature resin.

AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Stainless Steel Construction
This special build AP1 style gas assist injector was designed with a smaller diameter "shoulder" diameter due to the need for a long delay time in a high shrink rate resin. The tip was also extended to accommodate the desired gas injection point in the part cavity.

AP2 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Stainless Steel Construction
Same as the above special build gas assist injector, but with side discharge of the gas. This was for one of the few cases where gas injection caused a defect on the Class A surface.

AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Hardened Steel Construction
Another AP1 Series special build injector, with threads to fit a previous installed injector, and with an extended tip locate the gas injection point at the best location in the molded part.

APS1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Stainless Steel Construction
This special build gas assist injector was very unusual, almost no shoulder for the tool bore (very tight location in the mold), a short tip length, plus the APS1 Series full flow capabilities. These minimal dimensions were necessary for the application.

AP1 Series Special Build End Discharge Gas Assist Injector
Hardened Steel Construction
One more example of the AP1 style injector needed for precision pressure profiling, but with special threads and body dimensions to replace an older, less efficient gas injector.
